About Nuvena. Nuvena builds Navio, the Execution Operating System: every promise a company makes or is owed — in a contract or to a team — gets an owner, a follow-up and proof.

Role Summary

You are the lawyer our customers trust: you make Navio OS true for each customer, on their own contracts. You work beside our Enterprise Account Executives and Customer Success team across the whole customer journey: you run the pilot, lead the demo, onboard and train the legal team, and configure the playbooks that let Navio OS run their contracts — live within two weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Before the sale: learn how a prospect's legal and business teams work today, then lead discovery, live demos and pilots on their own contracts with our Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Show the value on real work: vendor and customer contracts, renewals, payments, SLAs, recoveries, compliance commitments and disputes — and the financial, legal and compliance risk Navio OS takes off the table.
  • Onboarding: map each customer's contracts into Navio OS — which clauses create obligations, who owns them, when they fall due, what counts as proof and what happens when one is missed — and take them live within two weeks.
  • Configure playbooks, clause checks and AI agents for each customer from our sector-ready library; test them on sample contracts and refine them with the customer until they run on their own.
  • Train legal, finance and business teams, run workshops, and make Navio OS part of how they work every day.
  • Meet general counsel, CFOs and business heads, and earn their trust as a lawyer who understands both legal risk and business priorities.
  • Bring what customers need back to the product team: clear feedback, real examples and test cases our engineers can build from.
  • Write sector-ready playbooks, templates and guides for insurance, banking and NBFCs, manufacturing, energy, FMCG, government and construction.
  • Travel to customer offices when needed, usually a few days a month.

Must Have

  • LL.B. or an equivalent law degree, and 3–5 years practising law in-house, at a law firm, or advising a corporate legal team.
  • Knows how in-house legal teams really work: contract volume, approvals, renewals, disputes, and the balance between legal risk and business priorities.
  • Explains legal logic in plain language and can lead a room: a live demo, a workshop or a hard conversation with a general counsel.
  • Breaks a contract into obligations, owners, dates, proof and penalties without being told how.
  • Uses AI tools in legal work, knows where they fail, and can test and correct their output.
  • Takes ownership and follows work through to done; works easily with sales, customer success and engineers.

Good To Have

  • Customer-facing or business development experience, or a secondment to a company's legal team.
  • Cross-functional work in operations, compliance, finance or product.
  • Hands-on with no-code tools, workflows or prompt writing, and comfortable with spreadsheets.
  • Sector experience in insurance, banking and NBFCs, energy, manufacturing or government contracts.
  • Working knowledge of the Indian Contract Act, the Arbitration and Conciliation Act and stamp duty.
