About Nuvena. Nuvena builds Navio, the Execution Operating System: every promise a company makes or is owed — in a contract or to a team — gets an owner, a follow-up and proof.

Role Summary

You draft, review and negotiate contracts, and you teach Navio how contracts actually work. You turn the logic of clauses into rules Navio OS can run: what creates an obligation, who owns it, when it falls due, what counts as proof and what happens when it is missed. You work side by side with the engineers to label clauses, test the AI and explain exactly where it went wrong. Your legal judgement becomes part of the product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts: MSAs, SLAs, NDAs, leases, and vendor and distributor agreements; keep the clause library and negotiation playbooks current.
  • Translate contract logic into rules the product can run: which clauses create obligations, who owns them, when they fall due, what counts as proof, and what the penalties and remedies are.
  • Train and test Navio's AI with the engineering team: write examples, label clauses, review outputs, flag errors and document the reasoning so engineers can build it in.
  • Explain legal logic to non-lawyers in plain language, and product logic back to lawyers.
  • Support customers' legal teams during onboarding: clause mapping, playbook set-up and obligation reviews.
  • Keep Nuvena's own contracts, policies and compliance in order.

Must Have

  • 2–3 years in contracts at a law firm, in-house or in legal operations, after an LL.B.
  • Fluent in legal drafting; has negotiated clauses on real deals.
  • Breaks a contract into obligations, owners, dates, proof and penalties without being told how.
  • Detail-first and organised; comfortable working with engineers and product managers.
  • Uses AI tools in legal work and can tell when the output is wrong.
  • Takes ownership and finishes what you start.

Good To Have

  • Experience labelling data or reviewing AI output at scale.
  • Working knowledge of the Indian Contract Act, stamp duty and the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and no-code tools.
